Fedora 42 has been released
It’s now 21 years since Fedora Core 1 was originally released in November of 2003, and it’s still maintaining its planned 6-month release cycle. Today, April 15, the Fedora project released Fedora 42.
New features include a new web interface for the Anaconda installer; enhancements to DNF5 that provides better key management; the newest version of Ruby; tools to manage Python packaging; and a new Cosmic desktop from System76, the Colorado hardware company that preloads POP_os! Linux; and more. KDE Plasma will enjoy promotion to full-fledged edition of it’s own rather than a spin.

I’m not a distro-hopper; I’m a desktop-hopper. But I try many different desktops just to see what they’re like. Cinnamon boasts features usually found only in desktops with much greater resource consumption, like GNOME or KDE Plasma 6.X.
