
Fedora 42 has been released
It’s now 21 years since Fedora Core 1 was originally released in November of 2003, and it’s still maintaining its planned 6-month release cycle. Today, April 15, the Fedora project released Fedora 42.
New features include a new web interface for the Anaconda installer; enhancements to DNF5 that provides better key management; the newest version of Ruby; tools to manage Python packaging; and a new Cosmic desktop from System76, the Colorado hardware company that preloads POP_os! Linux; and more. KDE Plasma will enjoy promotion to full-fledged edition of it’s own rather than a spin.
